A fatal fall from mother's lap!

Srinagar, Mar 21 (UNI) A child had a fatal fall from his mother's lap into a river in Kashmir today, police said.

They said two-and-a-half-year-old Abid Hussain Magray, a resident of Dethu near Bumzoo in Mattan area of south Kashmir, fell from the lap of his mother who slipped while crossing the river lidder.

The child fell into the river and drowned.

Police recovered his body and handed it over to the family.

Yesterday, a class 10 student drowned in a 'nullah' at Pahalgam in Anantnag district when he was on his way to school.

However, police rescued his two other classmates.
