50 officers suspended for irregularities in appointment
Patna, Mar 21 (UNI) The Bihar government today informed the upper House of the state legislature that 50 officers were suspended while appointment of more than 100 teachers had been cancelled due to irregularities committed in recruitment of teachers.
During the question hour, BJP member Birkeshwar Prasad drew attention of the House towards reported irregularities in appointment of teachers. State Education Minister Brishen Patel said the state government had cancelled the appointment of more than 100 teachers after receipt of irregularities committed in recruitment process.
He said 50 officers were found prima facie involved in the irregularity and they had been placed under suspension.
Mr Patel urged the members to inform him if irregularities came to their notice from any part of the state. He said reservation norms were being followed and all appointments made in this regard were purely provisional.
