TRS, BJP to jointly fight for Telangana state

Hyderabad, Mar 20 (UNI) Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao and Andhra Pradesh BJP unit chief B Bandaru Dattatraya today announced that their parties would jointly fight for separate Telangana in future.

Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Rao, who met the BJP leader at the latter's office after the BJP announced its support for the TRS in the Legislative Council elections scheduled on March 23, said the TRS would chalk out a strategy with the BJP to fight for Telangana.

Mr Rao said the BJP had already announced its stand on Telangana and added his party would strive for it with BJP support.

Mr Dattatraya said the alliance of like-minded parties would give a boost to the Telangana movement.
