Small dacoity gangs feel helpless after Parihar's death

Morena, MP, Mar 20 (UNI) After the death of dacoit Jagjivan Singh Parihar in an encounter with this police recently, the reins of the Parihar gang seems to have fallen in the hands of his uncle Bharat Singh, police sources said.

Meanwhile, small dacoity gangs, who received support from the Parihar gang, are feeling helpless.

Of the 39 members of the Parihar gang in police list, 29 members, including Bharat Singh, who carries a reward of Rs 28,500 on his head are remaining while some were killed in police encounters and others arrested recently.

Sources said Bharat intended to establish his empire by spreading terror in the same fashion as Jagjivan did.

He can commit a major incident in order to teach police and its informers a lesson.

According to police, the gang possessed 303, 315 and 12 bore rifles besides a semi-automatic rifle.

The gang used to possess two AK-47 rifles -- one used to remain with Jagjivan and other with Bharat.
