Six people killed in two road mishaps

Bangalore, Mar 20 (UNI) Six people were killed and four injured in two road mishaps in Karnataka, last night.

Police said three people were killed and three others seriously injured when a cement-laden truck in which they were travelling overturned near Basavanahalli near Tiptur in Tumkur district.

The injured were admitted to Tiptur General Hospital.

Vehicular movement on the highway was affected for a few hours following the mishap.

In the other incident, three persons were killed on the spot and another injured when two motorcycles, on which they were riding, collided near Arasikere.

The injured was admitted to the Arasikere Government Hospital.
