Select Ferrous metal decline
Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Select ferous metals declined on sluggish industrial demand along with London Metal Exchange (LME) today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In Ferrous segment, Copper heavy and copper utencil fell by Rs 100 each per quintal on lack of fresh demand while Brass cutting also eased by Rs 200 per quintal due to sustain heavy selling pressure.
In Non-ferrous category, zinc slab declined by Rs 100 per quintal on poor demand.
Nickel cathode also came down by Rs 50 per kg on thin buying support.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,200, Copper utensils - Rs 30,500, Brass utensils - Rs 24,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,800 and aluminium utensils - Rs 12,000.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 36,400, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,400, Zinc slab Rs 18,300, Lead ingots - Rs 9,100, Tin slab - Rs 735 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,290 (per kg).
