Security guard of a company arrested for theft

Kancheepuram (Tamil Nadu), Mar 20: A Security Guard of the 'India Pistons' company was arrested when he attempted to steal 121 aluminium bars worth Rs 1,35,000 from its factory at Maraimalai Nagar near here today.

Police said the guard, Ganapathy(40), hailing from Thirukazhukundram was nabbed by the company officials while coming out of the factory with stolen materials in an autorickshaw.

Investigation was underway, police added.
