SEBI passes orders against three BSE members

Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Three stock brokers of the Bombay Stock Exchange have been imposed a penalty of 'Censure' by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

M/s Kantilal Chhaganlal Securities Ltd, M/s P R Shah Share&Stock Brokers Pvt Ltd and M/s Devendra Shantilal Kothari have been censured to the effect that they should be careful in future and exercise due skill, care and diligence in the conduct of their affairs as capital market intermediaries in the matter of M/s Greenfield Trading and Finance Ltd, a SEBI release here said.

They have been directed to note that any instances of violation or non-compliance of the SEBI Act and Rules and Regulations in future shall be dealt with stringently, a SEBI release here said.

An order to this effect were passed recently by Dr T C Nair, whole time member SEBI.

Meanwhile, SEBI has also disposed of the enquiry proceedings against M/s M P Vora Shares and Securities Pvt Ltd, Member, Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd in the matter of M/s Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd imposing no penalty, the release added.
