Bareily, Mar 20: Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi begins the third-day of his road show with a public meeting at GIC ground here at around 1130 hrs from where he would proceed to Dilari where another public meeting is scheduled at around 1400 hrs and then later in the day at Thakurdwara. While heading towards the peripheral areas of Bareily and its adjoining districts, he will address several roadside public gatherings, stressing on giving the Congress a chance to bring Uttar Pradesh out of its political morass.

Yesterday at Deoband, where the Jat-Muslim forms majority of the vote bank, Rahul had stressed the services of late Indira Gandhi that saw the western belt shining with development.

After challenging Jat leader Ajit Singh in his bastion in Muzaffarnagar and Deoband yesterday and the Jat-Gujjar belt of Muradnagar, Meerut and Mawana on March 18, he plans to stretch the Congress reach in and around Bareily.

The three-day road show, initated to test the ground realities and Rahul's charisma and appeal among the masses in UP, is the Congress leader's baptism into 'real time politics' beyond his own constituency in Amethi, political observers said.
