Punjab assembly mourns over Samjhauta blast victims
Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) The Punjab assembly today mourned the death of those who were killed in the explosions on board the Attari-bound Samjhauta Express near Panipat last month.
Speaking on the motion on obituary references moved in the assembly by Local Bodies Minister Manoranjan Kalia (BJP), Health and Family Welfare Minister Ms Laxmi Kanta Chawla (BJP) condemned the blasts and described it as a crime against humanity.
'' It does not matter who died in the incident--whether they were from the other side or from this side of the border. It was a crime against mankind and needs to be condemned'', she said.
The House later observed a two-minute silence in memory of the blast victims.
