Minor dies after being thrown off train in MP

Narsinghpur, MP, Mar 20 (UNI) A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was killed after she was thrown off the Varanasi-Pune Ganga Kaveri Express into the Sher river by an unidentified person today.

Police said the incident occurred at about 1100 hrs when the train was running between Shridham and Karakbel stations.

The police reached the spot and recovered the body.

Government Railway Police personnel attempted to stop the train at Gadarwara. However, it sped away as it was not the scheduled halt.
