Khanduri calls on Kalam, Ministers

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) New Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri called on President APJ Abdul Kalam this evening and gave him an overview of his vision for the state's development.

Maj-Gen (retd) Khanduri who yesterday called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, had a busy schedule today too.

Earlier in the day, he met Defence Minister Pranab Kumar Mukherjee and Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

Mr Khanduri will also have a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia tomorrow.

In his meeting with the Prime Minister, Maj Gen Khanduri was assured by him that all special packages to the State would be sent and the State's developmental activities would not be hampered.
