Raipur, Mar 20 (UNI) Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi will move the High Court, seeking to quash proceedings initiated against him on the basis of a 'private complaint' related to the murder of the then NCP state Treasurer Ram Avtar Jaggi in June 2003.

''It's a political conspiracy to keep him out of the campaign for the March 29 Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha bypoll,'' Mr Jogi's son Amit told UNI over telephone.

Expressing confidence that the electorate would give a fitting reply on March 29, he said that the condition of Mr Jogi, who has been admitted to the Escorts Heart Hospital ICU here due to high blood pressure, was now stable.

''If the doctors permit, he will definitely rejoin the Congress workers of Rajnandgaon to canvass support for party nominee Devarat Singh. His political adversaries were nervous because of his presence in Rajnandgaon where the ruling BJP has high stakes as the Chief Minister's (Dr Raman Singh) assembly segment and even hometown are in this constituency,'' he claimed.
