Heroin and fake notes sized in Mizoram

Aizawl, Mar 20 (UNI) NGO volunteers of Mizoram have seized heroin worth of Rs 89,000 and fake currency of Rs 33,500 of Rs 500 denomination from the possession of three Myanmarise immigrants here.

Following the trio's confession last night, police arrested a person from Phunchawng village on the outskirts of Aizawl and seized two more cans of heroin from his rented house.

According to police, the fake notes were coming from Myanmar and the heroin was to be smuggled into neighbouring states.
