Haryana to probe into Devi Lal Trust

Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) The Haryana government will conduct a probe to find out any irregularity in the acquisition of land for the Devi Lal Memorial Trust raised during the tenure of the previous Chautala government in the state.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala told the state assembly that the enquiry would be made to find out whether any Panchayat land was illegally transferred to the trust.

If any such irregularities were made in the acquistion of land for the Trust, such land would be taken back and given back to the Panchayat concerned, he said during the Question Hour.

Earlier, Industries Minister Lachhman Dass Arora said in response to a question that the Devi Lal Memorial Trust was not registered in Haryana state.
