New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) The government today denied that it was considering a proposal to set up ''Kendra Sahithi Academy Golden Jubilee Complex'' in Kerala.

However, a proposal for construction of 'Kerala Sahithya Academy Golden Jubilee Cultural Complex' had been received.

In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Culture and Tourism Minister Ambika Soni said her ministry had received a proposal from the Kerala government for the setting up of the 'cultural complex'.

However, ''the proposal was incomplete and without the relevant information/documents required under the Multipurpose Cultural Complex (MPCC) scheme.

The minister said a copy of the scheme had been sent to the state government with the request to send the proposal with relevant information and documents required under the scheme.

Replying to another query, she said the government did not intend to bring back mortal remains of last Mughal King Bahadur Shah from Yangon, capital of Myanmar, to Delhi.

Ms Soni said the Bahadur Shah Zafar Memorial Society in 1949 had made such a proposal. ''It was decided that the proposal need not be pursued,'' she added.
