Govt committed to upgrade healthcare facilities : Mangat
Jammu, Mar 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today said efforts are being made to upgrade the health institutions with modern infrastructural facilities for the benefit of common masses in the state.
Describing the medical profession as a noble job, State Minister for Health and Medical Education Mangat Ram Sharma called upon the doctors and para-medical staff to put in their best efforts in serving the people suffering from various diseases to their entire satisfaction leaving no scope of any complaint.
Speaking after inaugurating a new Mechanised Laundry Plant at District Hospital, Udhampur, and an Office Complex building of the Deputy Commissioner, the Minister said Udhampur district has its own importance and full fledged health facilities are badly required to meet exigencies like accidents on National Highway.
He said additional infrastructural facilities like staff and equipment required for the newly constructed 100-bed complex in district hospital premises Udhampur would soon be made available.
