Four killed, 23 injured in road accident

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 20 (UNI) Four labourers were killed on the spot and 23 others injured, three of them seriously, when a lorry in which they were travelling overturned near Enkatadripalem village in Prakasam District today.

The accident occurred when a banana-laden lorry, which was also carrying 30 labourers, was proceeding from Ganjivaril Palli to Vijayawada, Police said. The lorry turned turtle near a Culvert.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
