CPI (M) slams Jharkhand govt for "anti-development" budget
Ranchi, Mar 20 (UNI) The CPI(M) today criticised the Madhu Koda-led UPA government of the state for the ''anti-development'' budget.
State secretary Gyan Shanker Majumdar said the budget proposed a meagre 5.09 per cent allocation for agriculture and downsized that for rural development from the current year's Rs 1802 crore to Rs 1341 crore.
Mr Majumdar also slammed the state government for making no allotment for the revival of sick and closed industries, development of cottage and home-based industrties.
The CPI (M) also condemned the Opposition BJP and its allies for boycotting the Assembly session.
