Court issues production warrant against Salem

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) A city court today issued a production warrant against don Abu Salem, who is at present in custody in Yervada jail, Mumbai under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

The warrant has been issued in a complaint filed in April 2001 by one Ashok Gupta, a South Delhi based businessman against Abu Salem for allegedly forcefully demanding Rs five crores from him.

The case in currently being handled by the crime branch.

Additional Session Judge Ravinder Kaur issued production warrant against Salem for April 23.
