Conversion fears Villagers to attack missionaries
Dharwad, Mar 20 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time at Baad village in this district of Karnataka today, when villagers attacked a group of missionaries, suspecting them of indulging in conversion.
The trouble started when a group of missionaries alighted from their vehicle at the village and started distributing pamphlets on Christianity in view of the approaching Good Friday. The villagers suspected them of converting people, assaulted two of them and handed them over to police after keeping them in confinement for some time.
