Child thrown off train in MP

Narsinghpur, MP, Mar 20 (UNI) A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was thrown off the Varanasi-Pune Ganga Kaveri Express into the Sher river between Shridham and Karakbel stations by an unidentified person at about 1100 hrs today, the police said.

Police reached the spot and seized the body that has been sent for postmortem.

Government Railway Police personnel attempted to stop the train at Gadarwara but it sped away as it was not a scheduled halt.
