Chautala indicted for creation of HSISF
Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) The Justice Bhalla Commission has indicted former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala with regard to the creation of the controversial Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF) which was later disbanded by the Hooda government.
Besides Mr Chautala, former Finance Minister Sampat Singh and the then Director General of Police (DGP) M S Malik have also been held responsible for the loss caused to the state due to the formation of the force on which an expenditure of over Rs 16.65 crore was incurred.
The report of the Commission was tabled in the assembly today along with the Action Taken Report (ATR).
In the ATR, the government said the advice of the Law Department and the Advocate General was being obtained with regard to the liability and the action to be taken against Mr Chautala and Mr Sampat Singh.
The government had already initiated action against M S Malik who had been chargesheeted under ''major penalty clause,'' the ATR said.
