Chargesheets served in AIIMS question paper leak case
Chennai, Mar 20 (UNI) A Special Court trying CBI cases today served copies of the chargesheet to 52 persons including 45 doctors in the case relating to leakage of question and answer papers during the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) PG medical entrance examination on January 8, 2006.
Special Judge N Velu trying CBI cases, furnished copies of the chargesheet to Dr T T Pradeep, Dr Duraimurugan, Dr P Jeyakumar and 49 others when they appeared before him.
The judge posted further hearing of the case to April 10.
According to the CBI, during the PG medical entrance examination, question and answer papers were leaked by adopting methods like sending answers through SMS. In Tamil Nadu, 4,188 candidates appeared for the examination. Fifty two persons including 45 doctors were cited as accused in the chargesheet.
Some were arrested and released on bail. Some accused turned approvers.
