Breach of Privilege motion against Chautala
Chandigarh, Mar 20 (UNI) The Haryana assembly today passed a Breach of Privilege motion against INLD leader Om Prakash Chautala for misconduct, misbehaviour and contempt of the House.
Mr Chautala was earlier 'named' and sent out of the House after he entered into an argument with the Speaker during the question hour. Two INLD members--Gian Chand and Balwant Singh--were suspended for the rest of the budget session for stalling the proceedings while the remaining six were also named and sent of the House.
Mr Chautala and INLD members were up on their feet as soon as the Question Hour began and started complaining about discrimination against them in the House. They also demanded that a resolution passed by the House condemning the conduct of the INLD members yesterday be withdrawn.
Speaker Raghubir Singh Kadian asked Mr Chautala to take his seat so that the proceedings of the Question Hour could be conducted. However, Mr Chautala asked the Speaker to conduct the house in a proper manner.
This led to an exhange of words between Mr Chautala and the Speaker after which the latter named Mr Chautala and sent him out of the House.
The two suspended INLD members had trooped into the well and were raising slogans as their leader was arguing with the Speaker.
