Armymen to conquer Mt Everest for fourth time
New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) A 20-member team of the Indian Army today set on an expedition of Mt Everest.
The fourth by the Army, the expedition was flagged off at Delhi by Army chief Gen J J Singh.
This will be the second time that an Army team will be climbing the world's highest mountain from the treacherous 'North face'.
The team is being led by Lt Col IS Thapa, an experienced and seasoned mountaineer from the Maratha Light Infantry.
The team will leave for Lhasa on March 28, and is expected to reach the summit between May 5-20.
They are expected to return to India by June 10.
