Two dead in mishap

Jamnagar, Mar 19 (UNI) A woman and her son died on the spot and two other members of the family sustained serious injuries when their bullock-cart was hit by a speeding truck on Dwarka-Okha highway, near Shamlasar village, about 160 kms from here, early today.

According to police sources, the incident took place as the driver of unidentified truck could not spot the bullock-cart due to darkness in the area.

The deceased have been identified as Valiben (55) and Rajmalbhai Bharabha (12). Bharabha Kanabha and Lakhabha Bharabha, have been admitted to the civil hospital at Jamnagar.

The driver of the truck escaped from the scene after the accident, police sources said.
