Russia calls for setting deadline for forces pullout from Iraq

Moscow, Mar 19 (UNI) Russia today called for setting a deadline for the pullout of foreign forces from Iraq.

''The Russian side has affirmed the need to prevent steps that may deepen the split in society. To our mind, a deadline for the pullout of multinational forces from Iraq could contribute to that,'' the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement referring to the fourth anniversary of the Iraqi occupation by the US-led forces.

Stressing that there was 'no quick solution to Iraq's problems,' the statement said ''They should be resolved without any deadlines.'' UNI
