Owls rescued in city

Chennai, Mar 19 (UNI) A pair of migrant owls from Australia were rescued from different parts of the city today.

Fire and Rescue department sources said an owl was noticed near the fourth gate of Fort St George, amidst crows by the Fort police, who in turn alerted them. They rescued the bird.

In a similar incident, another owl was spotted by residents of Mylapore Pallaku Maanagar. Acting on information they rushed to the spot and rescued the bird.

They handed over both the birds to the Blue Cross authorities, the sources added.
