No trading in markets today for Gudi Padwa

Mumbai, Mar 19: Trading in all spot essential commodities markets like Sugar, edible oil, cotton along with bullion, metal, forex, call money and others remained officially closed here today on account of Gudi Padwa, traders said.

However, trading in the country's premier Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) and National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) were open as usual on the same day, brokers added.
