M & M targets 10pc sales jump in 2007-08
New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) With the launch of new Bolero, Mahindra&Mahindra (M&M) today said it's sales will jump to 10 per cent this year (2007-08), in addition to the 15 per cent sales posted last year.
''This year (2007-08), we plan to sell around 1.70 lakh to 1.72 lakh units, which will be a growth of 10 per cent from the existing 15 per cent, '' M&M Senior General Manager (sales-automotive sector) Bharatendu Kapoor told reporters at the launch of new Bolero here.
The new Bolero has been styled with 32 new wide array of interior and exterior features from the existing ones at a price range of Rs 4.64 lakh to Rs 5.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
''Customers who want SUVs at the entry level but cannot afford the price tag of six to seven lakh rupees, this vehicle will be perfect for them because of the utlity and affordability. Price level of our existing models at entry level are also reduced up to Rs 37,000,'' said Mr Kapoor.
The new vehicle will be more convenient than before to operate, offering modern instrument cluster with white, sporty dials for easy readability.
''The all new two-tone gear shift has been designed to make gear shifts effortless,'' said Mr Kapoor.
