La Opala listed on National Stock Exchange

Kolkata, Mar 19 (UNI) La Opala RG Ltd, India's leading glass tableware manufacutrer, today announced its listing at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after being listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Announcing this, La Opala Managing Director Sushil Jhunjhunwala today said the move was aimed at enhancing the company shareholders value.

La Opala floated the first public issue in 1995 which was oversubscribed by 6.25 times.

The company was also in the process of installing a new plant at Sitargunj, Uttarakhand, and expected that the production there would commence from May, he added.

Incidentally, La Opala is the country's highest exporter of glass tableware by all counts and currently exporting to more than 20 countries, including the USA, UK and France.

In 1996 La Opala came out with a wide range of handcrafted crystal glassware products under the brand name of "Solitaire" in technical collaboration with Doosan Glass of South Korea.
