Jammu, Mar 19: The Jammu and Kashmir Political Migrants Front today threatened to launch an agitation if their security cover was withdrawn or the government agreed to the demand for demilitarisation in the state.

A delegation of the Front, led by Chairman Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Shabnam, met Governor S K Sinha at the Raj Bhavan this morning and presented a memorandum, seeking continuation of their security cover and no withdrawal of Security personnel from the state.

The memorandum also hailed the state Government for enhancing the cash assistance to Kashmiri migrants and proposed township at Nagrota for displaced people.

It, however, urged the Governor to look into the dwelling problems of 20,000 non-camp migrants, who were living in rented accommodation, ''The political migrants, Hindu, Muslim and Sikhs, should also be rehabilitated by providing accommodation on the same lines,'' the memorandum added.
