Farm commodity prices generally steady or declining
New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Farm commodity prices monitored by the Department of Consumer Affairs generally remained steady or declined in the week ending March 9, an official release today said.
Wheat prices remained steady at 14 reporting centres and declined at 4 centres. No increase was noticed at any centre during the week.
Out of the 55 lakh tonnes of wheat contracted for import by the Government, 53.83 lakh tonnes has already arrived.
Sugar prices remained steady across majority of the centres and declined at a number of centres.
Gram Dal prices generally remained steady or declined at the centres monitored.
