Devotees killed in road accident
Mirzapur, Mar 19 (UNI) Two devotees were killed and 10 others injured, when their jeep overturned in Chillha area here today.
Police said the devotees from Sidhi district Madhya Pradesh were en route to Vindhyachal, when a group of extortionists intercepted them near Purjagir village.
As the jeep driver tried to escape, the criminals hit him with a baton. As a result, the vehicle turned turtle killing Ramsunder (60) and Vasudha (60) on the spot. The 10 injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Later, the police arrested two youth in connection.
