Dasmunsi deplores Ahluwalia's conduct in RS
New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi deplored the conduct of the Opposition BJP in preventing Finance Minister P Chidambaram from replying to discussion in Rajya Sabha today and in Lok Sabha earlier during the last four days.
He told mediapersons here that the attempt to snatch the paper from the Finance Minister in the Rajya Sabha today was unfortunate.
''This shows how desperate they were to disrupt the House.'' Describng it as unprecedented, he recalled that he had rushed to protect the Finance Minister and the Chief Whip of the BJP.
''The Opposition is not keen to run the House,'' Mr Dasmunshi said, adding Mr Ahluwalia's conduct was ''shocking, unparalleled and unbecoming.'' He said he had taken a strong exception to the conduct of Mr Ahluwalia and conveyed the development to the presiding officers in both the Houses and the leader of the House in the Lok Sabha.
Mr Dasmunshi said there would be no change in the schedule of the second half of Budget Session of Parliament which will reassemble on April 26.
