BJP threatens to agitate if dacoity cases not resolved in a week
Thane, Mar 19 (UNI) Thane district (rural) unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today expressed serious concern over the increasing cases of daylight dacoities in the district recently, and has threatened to launch an agitation if the dacoities are not detected within a period of one week.
President of the district unit Advocate Chintaman Wanga, talking to mediapersons here today, alleged ''The law and order in the district had gone to dogs and the administration was nt paying any attention to improve the same.'' He said there had been at least sevenday light dacoities in the district in the past one month and none of them has been resolved.
The modus operandi of the dacoits was the same and they strike in the day time and decamp with the booty, from jewellers shop. They come in good numbers and are armed.
The latest in the list is the dacoity in a jewellers shop at Boisar, where the jeweller was looted to the tune of Rs 15 lakh.
