BJP delegation to visit Ram Sethu

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) A six-member BJP Parliamentary delegation, led by former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, will leave here tonight for Tamil Nadu to study the "possible implications of Sethusamudram project to Ram Sethu, the legendary bridge from mainland to Lanka said to be constructed by Lord Rama in his campaign against Ravana, king of Lanka.

Other members of the delegation are former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha, former Shipping Minister Ved Prakash Goyal, Mr Srigopal Vyas, Mr Thirunavukkarasar and Mr L Ganeshan, BJP Tamil Nadu chief.

The BJP Parliamentary Party in its recent meeting had expressed serious concern over the threat of ''grave damage'' to the Ram Sethu by the Sethusamudram project, intended to provide short navigational link between east and west coasts.
