40 Brus cadres found as non-resident Mizoram

Aizawl, March 19 (UNI) A verification conducted by a leading NGO in Mizoram have found that about 40 cadres surrendered BLFM outfit were not the residents of the state.

Official sources here today said three leading NGOs of Mizoram - YMA, MHIP and MZP- conducted a verification last week at Tuipuibari and Damparengpui camps of surrendered BLFM rebels.

However, the exact number of non-Mizoram residents among the rebels is yet to be confirmed, sources said.

According to YMA president J H Zoremthanga, the verification was done in two camps by five groups of volunteers as per the electoral rolls 1995.
