3 NSG commandos injured in road mishap in Punjab

Sangrur, Mar 19: Three NSG commandos and a Punjab police jawan were injured when their car rammed into a tractor trolley near Harigarh-Dhanaula village in Barnala district late last night, police today said.

The four injured security personnel were in the personal security detail of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. They were returning to the state capital from Lambi in Muktsar district when the accident occured.

The Chief Minister however, stayed back at Lambi and flew to Chandigarh in the official helicopter this morning.

Two of the NSG commandos, identified as Satish Kumar and P G Jatish and constable Narinder Singh of the Punjab Police, who was driving the car, were admitted to the PGI Chandigarh as their condition was stated to be critical. The third NSG commando, identified as B S Reddy, was discharged from the Sangrur Civil hospital late last night.
