Two students drown in sea

Udupi, Karnataka, Mar 18 (UNI) Two North Indian students, who had gone for a swim at Kaup beach, about 20 km from here, drowned in the sea, today.

Police said the students, studying in IIIT Bangalore, had come to Manipal along with their other two friends. The duo met with a watery grave following high tides and heavy water current.

The drowned students were identified as Sunith Rawal (23) from Haridwar and Shubhad (24) from Panipat in Haryana.

Police said the public could manage to rescue only two students and the bodies of two others were recovered later. The bodies were taken to KMC hospital at Manipal for post mortem.
