Route relay interlocking complete at Bhopal station

Bhopal, Mar 18 (UNI) The West-Central Railway has finished route relay interlocking and yard remodelling work at the Bhopal Railway Station.

''As the work to enhance trains' speed was completed before schedule, passenger trains will again begin halting at the station.

They were earlier halting at Bairagarh and Habibganj. The testing will be reviewed tomorrow morning. Human intervanetion in mechanical signal and point work will be lessened,'' Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Kumar Agrawal told reporters here today.

Under yard remodelling, trains on the down mail line would cross over at 30 kmph, which is double the previous speed.

''After Itarsi and Nishatpura, this is the division's third station where route relay interlocking has been implemented. Bina is next on the list,'' he added.
