Pro-Hindu body gheraoes MP DGP
Indore, Mar 18 (UNI) Hindu Nari Raksha Manch activists today gheraoed the Police Control Room here, in protest against alleged misbehaviour meted out to women during recent police searches in the wake of communal disturbances, and demanded the dismissal of BJP Minister Vijay Shah's brother and City Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Shah.
Madhya Pradesh Director-General of Police Anand Rao Pawar was in the Control Room at the time of the agitation. A delegation met Mr Pawar and apprised him of the ''misbehaviour'' in Chhatripura Police Station limits.
Earlier, pressure by pro-Hindu organisations led to Mr Shah's transfer.
The disturbances in several areas led to imposition of curfew last month. Recently, stone-pelting and other incidents took place in Mukeripura locality. The Indore incidents even rocked the Assembly.
