Polio drops administered

Vijayawada, Mar 18 (UNI) The Ministry of Family Welfare and Rotary International organised a pulse polio drive in seven districts of Andhra Pradesh today.

Polio drops were administered to children in the age group of 0-5 years at the immunisation centres, bus stands, railway stations, and other transit points.

The polio drive was implemented in Krishna, Srikakulam Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Khammam districts. In Krishna district as many as 2,560 centres were put up.

Special teams were formed to campaign for the programme in the rural areas.
