MPI modernisation process inaugurated

Kochi, Mar 18 (UNI) Union Minister for Food Processing Subodh Kant Sahai today inaugurated the modernisation process of the effluent treatment plant and deep freezer unit at the Meat Products of India (MPI) near here.

Addressing a gathering after the inauguration, Mr Sahai said the Centre would provide all possible assistance to viable projects of the Kerala Government in the food processing sector.

Two new products--mutton soup and chicken soup of MPI, a Kerala Government undertaking, was also launched on the occasion.
