Human resource development to get top priority: Nitish
Khagaria, Mar 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that government would accord top priority to development of human resources saying 'man-power' was the most precious asset of the state which could be utilised for accelerating the pace of development.
Addressing a function after laying foundation stones for various development projects here, Mr Kumar said that more than 2 lakh teachers were being recruited to improve the student-teacher ratio in the state.
He said that proper utilisation of manpower was possible only through adequate development of human resources, adding better education facilities would act as catalyst in this endeavour.
''An incentive of Rs 700 for uniforms was being given to each girl students at primary and middle level while a bicycle was being provided to high school students to encourage the parents for sending their daughters to schools,'' he added.
'Knowledge' was the power of modern period and the era of 'might is right' had gone, said Mr Kumar while exhorting the parents to send their children to schools adding state government was committed to take every possible steps for improving the quality of education in Bihar.
