CDPO suspended in Hajipur

Hajipur, Mar 18 (UNI) Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Vaishali S.D.Narain was placed under suspension today for dereliction in his duties.

District magistrate Lallan Singh told reporters here that Mr Narain was found absent from his duties without any information to higher authorities.The erring officer was also guilty of receiving payment against false bills pertaining to house rent without actually living at office headquarter, he added.

He said that Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi had put his seal on proposal of the suspension of Mr Narain. Various welfare schemes for children and lactating mothers failed to yield desired results in the area due to negligence of the officer in discharging his duties, he informed.
