Vayalar Ravi's advice to CPM
Pathanamthitta, Mar 17 (UNI) Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi today asked the CPI(M) to discard opportunistic politics and focus on the total betterment of the common man.
Inaugurating the DCC General Body here, he said CPI(M) had become the 'handmaiden of world capitalism', sacrificing interests of poor farmers.
He alleged the CPI(M) was 'leading a manhunt' at Singur in West Bengal to protect the vested interests of monopoly capitalists.
It was the CPI(M) which had been professing love for minorities but took the lead in evicting a particular community from Nandigram, he alleged.
Mr Ravi said the law and order situation in Kerala was grave and the CPI(M) was playing 'fascist politics butchering democracy'.
