Two hardcore CPI(Maoist) ultras nabbed
Bokaro, Mar 17 (UNI) The Jharkhand police arrested two hardcore CPI (Maoist) ultras in separate raids in Bokaro district today.
Superintendent of Police Priya Dubey said the two, nabbed at Nawadih and Kosmar areas were involved in more than 12 cases, including killing of police personnel, arms looting and other anti-social activities in the state and West Bengal.
The SP said some major crimes committed by them in the recent past included landmine explosions in December in which 14 security personnel were killed and murder of one Subodh Ravidas and his wife this year at Bishnupur area on the accusation of their being police informers.
Anand Mahto, who was arrested at Kasmar, was involved in the naxalite attack on Bokaro-Jharia police outpost in which three personnel from CISF and two from state police were killed.
Anand who joined the outfit in 2000 was involved in naxalite activities in West Bengal too, the SP said.
