Two arrested for kidnapping and killing 14-year-old

New Delhi, Mar 17 (UNI) Police today claimed to have solved the February 23 kidnapping of a 14-year-old from New Ashok Nagar area of East Delhi with the arrest of two persons, including the complainant's tenant.

Pradeep Kumar, tenant at Sanjeev Kumar's house whose son Pawan went missing on February 23 last and Rajinder Kumar, were arrested yesterday after both came to Noida to collect the ransom amount, the police said.

Surveillance of the accused began soon after a ranson call was received by the boy's fatner on March 10, followed by another on March 16 to fix the place of 'payment', which was in neighbouring Noida.

During interrogation' they said they took the boy to indon canal and strangulated him. They also smashed his head with a stone so that he could not be recognised and then threw him in the canal.
